Check out our cardio playlist
Different parts of our lives often have different soundtracks, whether we’re driving, chilling or working out. To us, music is vital for getting us pumped during exercise. Imagine trying to power through a sprint finish with Adele in your ears. Now compare that to how you might feel hearing Eye of the Tiger… Exactly.
We wanted to share some of our favourite songs that keep us going during those intense cardio sessions. Check out our list below, and keep on reading for the Spotify link so you can take this playlist with you on your next workout.
1. Justin Bieber – Sorry
There’s no point trying to deny it; we love the Biebs, too. And our cardio playlist wouldn’t be complete without this fun track of his. Just don’t blame us if your workout turns into a dance party.
2. Alphabeat – Fascination
There’s nothing quite like a slice of cheesy pop to distract your mind from its wanderings and truly lift your mood. This practically retro-sounding tune from Alphabeat is perfect for putting a smile on your face, even during the toughest of hill sprints.
3. Nicki Minaj – Va Va Voom
You can always count on Ms Minaj for a catchy, upbeat song to get you moving – complete with some powerhouse lyrics, of course. This one is no exception.
4. Kanye West – Stronger
Need motivation to finish that last set or power through your sprint finish? Look no further than the lyrics to this hard-hitting Kanye track.
5. Rihanna – Where Have You Been
The princess of reinvention, Rihanna’s been known to throw out a dance tune or two over the years. We included this one in the mix due to our inability to keep still whenever we hear it.
6. DJ Fresh – Gold Dust
7. Major Lazer – Watch Out For This (Bumaye)
We love the sunny vibes in these tunes. They’re great for pounding the pavements and for those alfresco summer workouts.
8. Krept & Konan feat. Jeremih – Freak of the Week
Strong beat? Check. Catchy lyrics? Check. We think you’d be onto a winner with this one in your workout mix.
9. T-Pain – Church
10. T.I. – Bring ‘Em Out
11. Swizz Beatz – Money in the Bank
A good hip-hop tune can make you feel like taking on the world. Let T-Pain, T.I. and Swizz Beatz convince you that you most definitely can.
12. Missy Elliott feat. Pharrell Williams – WTF (Where They From)
The queen of hip-hop is back. Always fresh; never boring. Just like your workouts ought to be…
13. Azealia Banks feat. Lazy Jay – 212
She might court controversy, but Azealia Banks makes good tunes. 212 is a sassy, up-tempo track that’ll keep you in the zone.
14. Format:B – Chunky
A funky house tune we can sing along to, with a super catchy beat? We’re there.
15. Sub Focus feat. Alex Clare – Endorphins
This song pretty much delivers what it says on the tin. It’s atmospheric and sure to give you an endorphin rush.
16. Chase & Status feat. Moko – Count on Me
This dance track kicks in straightaway and never lets up. Let it carry you through the peak of your workout.
17. TNGHT – Higher Ground
One of the best running tracks we’ve found. The steady beat is a great pace-setter and the repetitive nature of the lyrics makes it easy to focus on what’s important – putting one foot in front of the other.
18. Porter Robinson – Language
19. Chicane – Poppiholla
We wanted to end the playlist on a high. These two uplifting dance tunes are perfect for that final push that sees you through to the finish line.
20. Imagine Dragons – Radioactive
Every workout needs a wind-down. This tune will help you slow down while still packing a punch.
