Tone up with the treadmill training trend

If you've ever been bored whilst running on a treadmill, the news that treadmills are having a moment may not come as the greatest news. We've all been there, running at the gym, day in, day out. But the good news is that treadmill classes are becoming popular with celebrities and us mere mortals across the UK too - and they're far more exciting than your basic 30 minutes of running alone.

A survey by Sports England revealed that over two million people in the UK run at least once a week - and more of us than ever before are turning to the treadmill for our running sessions. Without variation it's easy to become bored with the treadmill (or with any workout), but by heading for a treadmill workout class, you can tone up and learn to use the equipment in ways you wouldn't normally, for an effective workout.

If you're already into spin, why not give treadmill classes a go this spring? Led by a trainer, you'll be more motivated and push yourself harder than a solo running session and you'ff find indoor running classes being held across London; they'll soon be taking place in other cities across the country too. We've found a few classes you must check out!

Precision running classes revolve around the Balanced Interval Training Experience (BITE) and focus on speed, incline, duration and recovery. It's a sweaty affair that's taking off in cities around the globe, and now available in London. Ideally suited to runners of all levels, including beginners, this is an intense workout, but unlike HIIT training sessions, it won't leave you feeling totally destroyed! The principles of BITE are pretty traditional, and the session is based around working towards your personal top speed. You'll perform three sets of exercises for set times at 60, 50, 40 and 3 seconds, and at varying gradients, to really challenge yourself, increasing your speed each time. Creator David Siik explains, "The best thing about Precision Running is its unique abililty to transform the way running feels on your body and your mind. It makes you a stronger runner, and makes running extremely exciting in the process!"

Great info on treadmill and exercise trends.  important factor is to be consistent and do regular cycles.  many people can not finish what they started and they quit in 2-3 months.  some are relaying on substances, which are not great too because they can ruine your health.
