We're huge fans of motivational quotes here at Expertrain HQ; oh yes, we're of the stick-your-favourite-motivational-quotes-to-your-bathroom-mirror mindset, and we believe that the right quotes have the power to boost your mood and even turn around a bad day. We all have our favourite quotes, and we're sure you do too. But we thought we'd share some of the best we've found to motivate your Monday and get you through what could be a rather boring afternoon - chin up, it's almost Tuesday!

"Be bad until you're good (and good until you're great)"

Yep, this quote nails it for us in terms of motivation, whether you apply it to fitness or any other area of your life. Let's face it, you're always going to be bad at something when you start out - but stick with it! Whether you're embracing a new workout routine or learning a new language, keep going, persevere and eventually you'll be great!

"Don't let small minds convince you that your dreams are too big."

If you can dream it, you can do it. That's what we like to believe anyway. The only person standing in the way of your dreams is yourself - so don't let other people who might not be as open-minded as you tell you that you'll never achieve it, or that it's too hard. No matter what you're striving for, stay positive and tell yourself you can do it!

"Life is like a piano. What you get out of it depends on how you play it."

Or put simply, you get out what you put in. Sitting on the sofa every evening after work isn't going to make you fit and healthy. Staying in a job you hate will never make you happy. Think about what you want to get out of life and then adjust your decisions and actions so that you're most likely to reach those goals! Practising mindfulness of your thoughts and actions does make a real difference when it comes to your health and happiness.

We've all made mistakes in our past, and sometimes when you're feeling unhappy it's easy to regret those mistakes and wish you had done things differently. But trying new things will inevitably lead to mistakes, and it's only by pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and experiencing new things that you'll learn and grow as a person. So remember this the next time you're beating yourself up for mistakes you've made!

Provided your dreams aren't completely impossible, then all you need to do is take positive action in the right direction in order to achieve them. Imagining working in a new job? It won't land in your lap, so get out there and hunt it down. Dreaming of starting your own business and working from home? Networking and getting your name out there can help you to achieve this. It doesn't matter what you do, just do something - take action and at least if things don't go according to plan, you'll know you gave it your all!

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going."

Starting a new diet or exercise regime can be tough and you'll definitely need motivation if you're about to make the switch to a Paleo diet or take up going to the gym three times a week. But once you've started, things get easier. Sure, you'll need a kick up the butt to get going (we all do!) but once you put healthy habits in place, it will become second nature as you realise how much healthier and happier these small changes make you feel. Anybody can develop healthy habits - so start today by making one small change to your lifestyle.

People deal with setbacks in life differently - whilst you might be gutted you didn't beat your personal best in the marathon, a friend might see that as a new challenge and something to motivate them. Life's not about what happens to you, it's about how you handle what happens to you. So be one of the tough people who can cope with setbacks and disappointments; pick yourself up, dust yourself off and be confident - you can handle this!
