10 Motivational videos to inspire you

Whether it's hump day or you just have a serious lack of motivation going on, we all need to be inspired sometimes. Inspirational, motivational videos can give you the boost you need to get out of bed and go for a run, kick-start your creativity or just make you feel like the world is a happier place. We've got 10 of our favourite motivational videos for whenever you need a bit of a boost. Check them out!

#1. Get motivated

We love this video which will really give you the boost you need to smash those fitness goals, get started on that project for work or just have a generally awesome day! Watch it all the way through to the end; it's well worth it, we promise.

#2. Do what you love

There's no point doing a job you hate - you could still fail at it! So why not do what you love. As the video says, "Find out what it is you want and go after it like your life depends on it." This is a pretty good motto for life. Failure leads to learning - so take risks and go for what you want. That's how to be happy!

#3. Take risks

"If you've never failed, you've never lived." This video may only be just over a minute long, but it's a powerful reminder to us that we should be taking risks everyday to get to where we want to be in life. That risk could be signing up for a marathon when everyone thinks you'll fail, or quitting your job to travel the world, because you know it's what is right for you. If you don't take risks, you'll never achieve anything in life, so don't let fear and a lack of confidence hold you back. Watch this video, then go for it!

#4. Be a winner

There's nothing wrong with second place from time to time, but if you're in need of some tough love, this is the video to give you a kick up the butt and get you going! We love the tone of this video and its message - if you're fine with second place, you're not looking for success. And if you're not looking for success, you won't be successful! Be a winner and aim high - it doesn't matter if you fail, at least you tried.

#5. Be passionate

Whatever you do in life, do it with passion. Do you work for yourself? Be passionate about the work you create and your day to day job. Into fitness? Bring your passion to your workouts and focus fully on the moment, everytime. Having passion for something is an incredibly attractive trait as it drives you and makes you get back up when you fall down. This video will remind you that you've got to find what you love. If you love what you do, you'll be happy!

#6. Don't let fear hold you back

The best quote from this video? "No matter how good your idea is or how much work you're willing to put into, they're always going to be those dream killers. There's always going to be those people that say it can't be done. But the only one that can prove them right or wrong is you." Sometimes those who tell you something can't be done are saying it because they're afraid you'll succeed where they have failed. Sometimes it's just those you love trying to protect you. Failure helps you to grow into a better person, and living cautiously means you've failed life. So do the things you've always dreamed of doing - chase down that dream job, go travelling, fall in love. It's ok to feel afraid but channel that fear and use it to drive you forwards.

#7. Make every second count

Taking small steps to making your dreams a reality - that's what this video is all about. It's ok to dream but use your dreams to drive you towards what you want in life. Fight your inner enemy; that inner voice that tells you you're going to fail and that you're not perfect. You don't need to be perfect to have what you want and get what you want. Don't wait around - go out there today and create opportunities for yourself by being open to what's around you. Make every second of your life count, that's the message here; don't settle!

#8. Don't quit

There's no easy route to success. Use your talent and dedicate yourself to becoming skilled at what you want to do. The video talks about work ethic and going for it - whether that's smashing your fitness goals, succeeding at work or something else. "Just because you've failed, doesn't make you a failure." We're supposed to fail because that's a stepping stone to success - it will drive you forwards. When things go wrong, don't quit; use that experience to make you stronger and push yourself to work harder! Good advice...

#9. Spread the love

Nowadays we are more connected than ever before with the internet and social media, yet we're also more socially disconnected than in the past. This video will put a smile on your face and remind you that the world is a good place, and that people do care about each other. Free hugs anyone?

#10. Make good art

Bestselling author Neil Gaiman gives an inspirational commencement speech to graduates at the University of the Arts. If you're looking to work in a creative role (or even if you're not) then this will help you. "A freelance life, a life in the arts, is sometimes like putting messages in bottles on a desert island and hoping that someone will find one of your bottles and open it, and read it, and put something in a bottle that will wash its way back to you... You may send out hundreds of things for every bottle that ends up coming back."

For anyone working for themselves as a freelancer or considering a career in the arts, this will ring true. But listening to a bestselling, successful author talk about his dreams and how he started out will motivate you, not only if you're a writer or pursuing a creative role, but no matter what you're pursuing in life!

Hopefully you're now feeling a bit more motivated, a bit more ready to get out there and face whatever life has to throw at you. Watching these types of videos on a regular basis can boost your mood and leave you with a renewed sense of optimism about life, so it's a good habit to get into!
