Nothing beats avocado toast as a healthy breakfast, delicious brunch or anytime snack. Packed with good fats from the avocado, loaded with nutrients and really filling too, avocados are one of our favourite choices for a super-healthy start to the day. But it can get a little boring just smooshing your avo and whacking it on a slice of wholegrain bread - no? Good news - we've got 15 ways with avocado toast that will have you eating it every day of the week!
#1. The Classic
Ahhh where do we start with this? Grab yourself some toasted wholegrain bread, smoosh up your avocado (or you can slice it, if you prefer) and spoon onto the toast. If you like, season your avocado with a little garlic salt and chilli flakes, or even a squeeze of lime juice. Poached egg totally optional. One of the quickest, healthiest brekkies around!
Fancy a little taste of Mexico to start your morning? This recipe calls for grilled corn on the cob, making it the ideal snack for BBQ season. But if you don't have grilled corn to hand, fresh cooked corn will do. We love the combo of creamy avocado, buttery sweet corn and salty cheese - yum!
