Cardio

Cardio typically involves walking, running, cycling and rowing although it can be any exercise that increases your breathing and heart rate. Cardio can be low impact and endurance based OR can use lots of speed and intervals.

Cardio is usually contrasted with strength training exercises which include squats, lunges and press ups. However, these two can be harmonious if you do a resistance based workout and have minimal rest time.
